Position Title: Assistant Scientist

Work Location: New Brunswick

Assignment Duration: 12 Months

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri (normal business hours)

Work Arrangement: 100% onsite

Position Summary:

The Associate Scientist/Engineer is responsible for supporting studies to establish oral solid formulations. This includes execution of laboratory and pilot plant work, design experimental formulation studies, and conduct material characterization and formulation testing.

MUST HAVE:

* Required - Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or related field with laboratory hands-on experience; or Associate's degree.

* Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience * An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

Manager is looking for candidates with Biologic Background

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct development activities related to developing oral formulations
  • Conduct oral product batch processing, material characterization and formulation testing.
  • Design and optimize formulation using design of experience approach.


Qualification & Experience:



  • Knowledge of formulation development.
  • Knowledge of oral product processing - blending, tableting, encapsulation etc.
  • Knowledge of data trending and tracking, including use of statistical analysis software a plus.
  • Demonstrate advanced problem-solving ability / mentality, technical adeptness and logical thinking.
  • Ability to communicate honestly, transparently, and effectively with peers, department management and cross functional peers.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in science or engineering or related engineering discipline (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • Previous experience working in oral formulation development and processing required.
  • Experience in oral formulation preparation and testing techniques preferred.


Working Conditions & Physical Demands (If Applicable):



  • The incumbent will be working 10% to 20% of the time in an office environment.
  • The incumbent will be working 80% to 90% of the time in a manufacturing and/or laboratory setting.
