The Role:

The Environment & Sustainability Reporting Lead, reporting to the ETS Director of Environment & Sustainability, is a new & enhanced role reflecting increased demand for sustainability data and performance reporting. This position oversees all aspects of environment & sustainability data management for both internal and external reporting. The Lead collaborates with all Electric Thermal Solutions companies & divisions, including the ETS Environment & Sustainability Team & Group to ensure data accuracy and integrity in support of ETS's commitments both operationally and commercially. The role also partners with internal commercial, engineering, operations, and business development teams to address customer requests, questionnaires, and qualification requirements, supporting business objectives, customer relationships, and overall growth.

Your Responsibilities:

Data Management, Reporting & Governance

  • Contribute to the implementation of Group Sustainability Strategy
  • Review and validate sustainability data submissions (waste, water, energy, travel, Scope 3 emissions, etc.), ensuring accuracy and integrity prior to Group reporting.
  • Oversee all environment & sustainability data management, analyze performance against environmental compliance/incidents, One Planet targets, and maintain robust datasets.
  • Coordinate completion of business-level sustainability questionnaires and respond to customer information requests (e.g., EcoVadis) & liaise with Group level reports as needed to report/validate ETS data.
  • Lead internal and external audit reporting, support timely closure of findings, and develop sustainable processes and best practices.
  • Liaise with all OpCo's to collect, verify, and report on community engagement, volunteering, and biodiversity data; compile quarterly ETS reports as agreed upon.
  • Identify opportunities and risks with regards to sustainability performance. o
    Training, Platform, and Strategy Support
  • Provide training and expertise to users of the Sustainability Metrics Reporting Platform to enhance data quality and reporting efficiency.
  • Liase w/ ETS EHS Specialists on environmental compliance & incident reporting, including action closure plans and supporting systems (i.e. EcoOnline, RedOnline)
  • Support the Head of Environment & Sustainability in implementing the One Planet Strategy and related initiatives, including forecasting and business case studies.
  • Support/lead development of any BP's (i.e., Energy & Waste and Water Action Plans) to ensure alignment with One Planet reduction targets and to drive the right behaviors.
  • Integrate sustainability considerations & supporting metrics into business cases for new projects to meet One Planet objectives.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Foster strong relationships with Environment & Sustainability, EHS, Operational & Commercial Partners and Community Engagement contacts across all ETS Operating Companies to ensure clear understanding of environment and sustainability performance.
  • Collaborate on efforts to showcase & grow the commercial value of the environment and sustainability initiatives, including internal & external benchmarking & market analysis.
  • Provide environment & sustainability guidance and support across ETS, including regional specialists and Champions.
  • Collaborate on identifying/growing internal metrics & KPIs to measure sustainability benefits of ETS related products and solutions in support of the One Planet Strategy.

Communications & Best Practices

  • Act as a key communicator for the Environment & Sustainability team on performance of key initiatives and track overall strategic progress.
  • Maintain key contact lists for internal communications, including Environment & Sustainability and divisional leaders, along w/ Sustainability Champions / Community Engagement Champions.
  • Support and document community engagement activities to meet Group reporting requirements.
  • Develop best practice case studies to enhance the Environment & Sustainability Toolbox and drive performance improvements.
  • Manage the ETS Sustainability Communications Plan and prepare regular internal communications to promote sustainability awareness.
  • Engage with the broader sustainability community via internal channels & social media (internally & externally)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Data Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrate a flexible and collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment, & abilities to manage competing priorities.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • An analytical person who is willing to dive into the detail to identify trends and root causes to identify potential focus areas and solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.

  • This role will be based on operational needs. Business-related travel may be required to support initiatives and overall business needs.
