Pay Range: $150,000-$160,000 annually, depending on experience, plus bonus

Schedule: Regular Business Hours

Advantage Technical is hiring an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to guide a talented team, shape long-term strategy, and drive the design and reliability of advanced electrical systems.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this direct-hire leadership opportunity combines hands-on technical guidance with team development, customer partnership, and strategic decision-making.

Job Duties



  • Lead and mentor electrical engineers and test technicians
  • Guide the design, testing, and validation of substations, switchgear, transformers, protective relays, and power distribution systems
  • Develop engineering strategies aligned with company goals and industry standards
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams
  • Represent engineering during strategic customer engagements
  • Drive product reliability, modernization, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality requirements, and industry standards
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and employee development


Education Requirements



  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field


Required Qualifications

  • At least eight years of progressive electrical engineering experience
  • Two or more years of engineering leadership experience
  • Knowledge of protection and control systems, medium-voltage switchgear protection, substation AC/DC systems, and power systems analysis
  • Working knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NEC, and related standards
  • Experience managing engineering teams, complex projects, and budgets
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer license
