***This is a Temporary Position 10/15/26-01/15/2026 Monday- Friday 8:30 A.M.- 4:30 P.M., Pay Rate: $21.00 Per Hour***

Summary/Primary Purpose: This position will perform general accounts payable and receivables functions and will assist the Finance managers with clerical functions and other assigned general accounting duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform routine processing of revenues and contributions, receipts and accounts payable.
  • Responsible for the receipting of income to include preparing deposits and entering receipt batches in the accounting system.
  • Assist with coding all vendor invoices, vouchers, claims and check requests for payment.
  • Enter, edit and update invoices into the accounting system.
  • Process checks and batch with supporting documentation.
  • Assist in opening/sorting incoming mail.
  • Assist in tracking internet donations.
  • Scan all documents into digital form and ensure clear resolution and completeness of all data for each Corps.
  • Assists the Divisional Finance Manager in compliance with TSA record retention requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.



Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and/or Experience: Associate degree in business or a related field preferred, and/or a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.



  • Project management skills to include implementation and conclusion of projects in the local and regional communities.
  • Excellent skills in establishing priorities and ability to multitask to accommodate the team.
  • Flexible and strong organization skills for managing multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, as well as creative problem solving and team building skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of SalesForce, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and ability to access pay, personal and timekeeping data via a web-based system.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Mathematical skills include add, subtract, multiply, divide, use of common fractions and decimals.
  • Must be a highly skilled self-starter, manage important projects and maintain focus from beginning to end of event/promotion.



Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.

Physical requirements include hearing and vision ability along with excellent manual dexterity. This position will require the ability to lift and/or move more than 20 pounds occasionally.

Working Conditions: The work environment is an office environment, with moderate to loud noise, and may include varying temperatures that may be encountered in the facility, public venues and outside.
