The College of Arts & Media is the only college leveraging the influence of CU Denver in the heart of Denver's thriving arts industry to produce graduates who are ready to inspire, lead, and create. CAM offers top-ranked degrees and programs in Film & Television, Media Forensics, Music & Entertainment, and Visual Arts.
The Student Recruitment Program Manager is an integral member of the College of Arts & Media student services team that recruits students, helps them navigate and personalize their college experience, connects them with the right resources, and guides them through their academic journey. The Student Recruitment Program Manager plays a key role in managing recruitment and admissions processes, and is responsible for the planning and execution of CAM's LYNX National Arts and Media Camps, which are summer immersion programs for high school students and an instrumental recruitment tool for CAM.
What you will do:
Student Recruitment and Admissions (55%)
* Serve as a subject matter expert for all programs and areas of emphasis in CAM
* Create and execute an annual undergraduate recruitment plan
* Develop and implement processes for graduate and transfer student recruitment
* Represent CAM at monthly Recruitment Outreach Network (RON) meetings produced by the admissions office
* Plan and lead prospective student visit days
* Coordinate attendance at arts related college fairs; attend and represent CAM at in-state and out-of-state college fairs (no more than three out-of-state fairs per year)
* Develop and execute a plan for local high school recruitment and visits
* Oversee prospective student tours and visits
* Manage prospective student/parent communications; utilize Slate to track and communicate with prospective students
* Manage the secondary application/audition processes in the music and film areas
LYNX National Arts & Media Camps (35%)
* Promote recruitment opportunities throughout summer camp sessions
* Manage camp applications, payments, admission, and enrollment
* Manage LYNX Camp website, social media, and advertising efforts in conjunction with marketing staff
* Manage email account and ensure prompt responses
* Develop and manage the annual camp budget
* Manage procurement/purchasing and reconciliation functions
* Work with risk management to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures; manage required forms
* Direct two of three LYNX Camp sessions
* Compile and track camp data (e.g.- admission and retention rates of camp attendees)
* Recruit and train all student staff and instructors
* Work closely with HR to manage hiring and pay
* Coordinate camp logistics and scheduling of spaces
* Work with housing office to coordinate student rooms and meals
* Coordinate field trips and guest artist visits
* Assist with fundraising and grant applications to provide camp scholarships
Supervisory, Events, and Other (10%)
* Supervise Student Recruitment & Events Coordinator position
* Supervise one to three student employees as needed
* Oversee development of the annual recruitment calendar for college and prospective student events; provide direction and event oversight as needed
* Knowledgeable about college and departmental student events; provide direction and event oversight as needed
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
* Three (3) years of professional level experience in student services/student support, customer service, project management, or event planning (student employment excluded)
Substitution: A combination of education and related professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
* Master's degree in higher education administration, college student counseling, or a related field
* Supervisory experience
* Summer camp leadership experience
* College student admissions or recruitment experience
* Knowledge of the University of Colorado Denver and/or the College of Arts & Media

* Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
* Ability to perform duties independently without guidance and direction
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the organization

Conditions of Employment
* Occasional evening and/or weekend work is required.
* Student-facing positions are primarily in person but may have the option for occasional remote work based on business needs.
Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements
* The ability to sit for extended periods, stand and walk occasionally, reach with hands and arms, use hands to manipulate a keyboard and mouse, and have good near vision for computer work; often requiring minimal lifting, but may involve bending or reaching to retrieve items from shelves or drawers.
* Moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $69,799 - $72,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
