The Electrical Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the design and development of electrical systems for advanced facilities. This role offers practical exposure to engineering design, documentation, and collaboration, fostering technical growth in a dynamic project environment.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Assist in designing electrical systems, including power, lighting, controls, and grounding, for high-technology facilities.
  • Support electrical engineering calculations for equipment sizing, feeder sizing, and equipment selection to meet project requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents, including power diagrams, equipment layouts, and system controls.
  • Ensure designs are accurate, compliant with standards, and align with project goals.
  • Provide specialized technical input to support design studies and specific project needs.
  • Assist in preparing engineering studies and analyses to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with project teams, other disciplines, and design offices to ensure seamless integration and project alignment.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration across all levels of the project team.
  • Participate in additional tasks and assignments as needed to support the electrical engineering team and project success.
Show your expertise

Minimum Required

  • Education: Must be pursuing bachelor's degree
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred

  • Junior or Senior standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Previous internship experience in a project team environment is a plus
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and electrical system design is advantageous
