Job Summary

The Corporate Human Resources Generalist supports Commercial and Field Operations while providing direct support to North American HR Operations. This role delivers responsive, compliant, and practical HR support, identifies and mitigates risk, interprets policies, triages employee issues, and drives continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides direct support for onboarding, commercial, and corporate employees in North America.
  • Provides direct administrative support for driver onboarding, including coordinating with Regulatory Operations personnel to ensure compliance with process and procedures.
  • Acts as the initial point of contact for routine HR questions and requests. Triages issues appropriately. Escalates as needed to the correct resource.
  • Supports employee relations, assists with investigations, coaching, and guidance.
  • Interprets and applies company policies consistently and fairly.
  • Supports compliance with employment laws, OSHA, EHS, DOL, and related regulations.
  • Identifies and mitigates organizational, compliance, and employee relations risks.
  • Partners with Commercial and Field leadership on workforce challenges and talent initiatives.
  • Initiates and implements process and procedural improvements.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professional handling of sensitive matters.
  • Develops professional written communications, reports, and documentation.
  • Responds quickly and effectively to business and employee needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of OSHA, EHS, DOL, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic employee advocate with strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting field, manufacturing, industrial, or regulated operations.
  • Experience with Driver onboarding strongly preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Travel will be <10%
  • Physical demands include sitting for extended periods of time while frequently typing, viewing computer screens and use of mouse/keyboard.
  • Operation of office equipment to include but not limited to telephones, printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Repetitive motion of data entry, hand, finger wrist motion and dexterity.
  • May include filing and handling paperwork may involve reaching, grasping, or bending.
  • Light lifting and carrying of office supplies, files, or boxes (generally under 25 lbs.).
  • Will require walking and standing during the office hours.
  • Good vision for reading and screen use.
  • Clear verbal communication and active listening, often over the phone or video calls.
