Position Description:
Manage, evaluate, and assess model-based information from design teams, trade subcontractors, and other stakeholders during preconstruction, engineering, fabrication, and field installation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) related project deliverables for assigned xPL products, projects, and programs.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive working knowledge of program contract documents, client's standards and requirements, and 2D and 3D deliverables.
  • Develop in-depth product knowledge per program, ensuring expertise in materials, systems, and processes.
  • Maintain program specific standards and file-based communication process to support modeling and team communication.
  • Disseminate and understand scope of work documents for trades involved in utilizing BIM models.
  • Oversee model content by integrators to ensure seamless integration and coordination among stakeholders.
  • Review coordination models and model-based submittals and shop drawings from design teams, trade subcontractors, and other stakeholders to assess conformance to contract specifications and resolve any conflicts in interpretation.
  • Schedule and manage virtual trade coordination meetings, preconstruction meetings, and submittal review meetings with subcontractors and other BIM related meetings.
  • Develop reports and assessments on coordination meeting records, constraint logs, and other project-related documentation.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, Site managers and engineering/data teamsregarding parameters, Build of Materials (BOMs) and BIM for manufacturing standards to facilitate collaboration and alignment with project schedule and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee closeout process for BIM realated content, including preparation of final records (e.g., as-built models, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and as-built documentation). Produce turnover model files with associated documents for owner, as required.
  • Utilize BIM standards for quality for Coordination Standards, BIM Execution Plans, and Schedule development to support manufacturing workflows and deployment to projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships to enhance collaboration with engineers, design consultants, and external resources (e.g., integrators, subcontractors, manufacturers, inspectors, and owner's representatives) and extend business development opportunities.
  • Automate routines in BIM to support standards for increased productivity and consistency across team.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be 90,000.00 - 135,000.00 USD annualized.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, or Building Construction with minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, andexperience
  • Able to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
  • Supervisory skills or team leadership experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of team roles to facilitate utilization with BIM processes
  • Proficient computer skills, , Microsoft Office Suite of applications, and with BIM applications (e.g., Navisworks Manage, Trimble SketchUp, Autodesk Revit)
  • Critical thinking and analysis skills for decision-making and problem-solving
  • Ability to apply active listening skills to hear and understand ideas, options, and opinions of others
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills and tailor communications for non-technical audiences
  • Project management experience, organizational skills with attention to detail, and able to quickly adapt and prioritize responsibilites while working in fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal and team building skills with ability to work across organizational levels and with clients and vendors
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools and methodologies
  • Limited travel
