Part-Time Financial / Budget Analyst

Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:

The Financial / Budget Analyst provides financial management, budget execution, and fiscal analysis support to ensure program funds are planned, tracked, and reported in compliance with DoD and Army policies.

Responsibilities include:



  • Supporting budgets, spend plans, and funding profiles.
  • Tracking obligations, expenditures, and burn rates.
  • Preparing financial reports and leadership briefings.
  • Coordinating funding actions and identifying execution risks.
  • Reconciling financial data and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Supporting financial reviews, audits, and data calls.
  • Coordinating with program managers, acquisition personnel, and contracting offices.



Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant experience.
  • Recent financial or budget management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and begin supporting the program immediately.
  • Availability to work 20-25 hours per week on a structured schedule.
  • Active Secret Clearance



    Nice to Have (skills that are not required, but nice to have):



    • Experience supporting DoD or Army programs.
    • Familiarity with DoD financial management processes and timelines.
    • Experience coordinating program or acquisition funding.
    • DAU coursework or certifications in Financial Management or Program Management.
