Iron / Rigging Superintendent
Play an integral role in leading the safe, productive, and efficient execution of ironwork and rigging activities on major industrial construction projects. As an Iron / Rigging Superintendent, you will provide field leadership for large craft organizations, ensuring critical erection, structural steel, rigging, lifting, equipment setting, and heavy construction activities are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project quality requirements. This is a field-based leadership role located on an active industrial construction site. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working directly with forepersons, craft professionals, construction managers, contractors, and project leadership teams to coordinate daily construction activities and drive field execution. Success in this role requires a strong field presence, exceptional leadership skills, sound construction judgment, and a commitment to safe and predictable project delivery. This highly visible construction leadership position serves as a key member of the site construction management team. Your ability to lead large craft organizations, coordinate workface execution, manage productivity, and support workforce development will directly impact project performance, safety results, labor efficiency, schedule achievement, and customer satisfaction. Purpose of the role The Iron / Rigging Superintendent is responsible for directing and coordinating ironwork and rigging construction activities on major industrial projects. You will provide leadership to a large group of forepersons and craft professionals while ensuring safe work execution, workforce productivity, quality performance, apprentice development, and compliance with project requirements. Working closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Field Engineers, Workface Planners, HSE professionals, Quality teams, and subcontractors, you will ensure construction activities are properly planned, staffed, and executed to support project objectives. Through effective workforce planning, field leadership, and operational oversight, you will help deliver successful project outcomes while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
