Primary Purpose: The Operations Reconcilement Team Leader is responsible for performing daily and monthly Operations related to general ledger reconcilements and research/clear outages in a timely manner. The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $53,000 to $65,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications. Essential Responsibilities:
- Leading Presentations related to the inner working of the Core Balancing Team for our Training and Development Team.
- Participating in meetings along with Core Applications Balancing Manager and other LOB, related to merger balancing, new product balancing and issue resolution for items related to the Core Balancing Team.
- Assist the Core Applications Balancing Manager in working with the LOB related to compliance and risk management.
- Manage the rotation for review of the departmental policies and procedures.
- Manage the rotation of the General Ledger accounts balanced by the Core Balancing team to ensure that everyone is cross-trained.
- Assist the Core Applications Balancing Manager with approving and maintaining the daily schedules and approvals of timecards and vacations.
- Compiling all daily reports from various internal sources
- Using program tools along with research to reconcile all loan general ledger accounts daily.
- Perform research and follow-up to ensure outstanding entries are cleared in a timely manner.
- Perform training and provide guidance to all bank employees to assist with proper entry of transactions.
- Note any concerns, errors, or unusual activity to management.
- Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.
Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:
- A High School graduate degree or equivalent
- Previous experience in a financial or accounting environment
- Exquisite member service skills in person, on the telephone, and through email.
- Must be able to work independently, use logic and judgement to make appropriate decisions, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office Products
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Education with an emphasis in Business, Finance, or Accounting
- Previous work experience in banking or account reconcilement.
- Working knowledge of FIS Insight Core System helpful.
- Experience in various banking lines of business (Loans, Deposits, ACH, etc)
- Previous experience in supervising others.
Physical Requirements:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
