Overview General Dynamics Electric Boat provides an unparalleled learning experience for college students, offering practical exposure in the defense industry alongside expert engineers, shaping the future of submarine innovation. This program requires a minimum commitment of 8 weeks during the Summer 2027 Season. Participation in this program requires medical screening, passing a drug test, and potential DOD Investigation. This is not a remote opportunity. All applicants have the potential to be placed at any of the following locations: Groton, CT, North Stonington, CT, New London, CT, or Quonset Point, RI and you will need reliable transportation and housing for the duration of your intern assignment. Program Scheduling & Scheduling Architecture Management - Summer Internship As a Program Scheduling (Advance/Engineering Planning) or Scheduling Architecture Management intern you will receive hands-on learning experiences in various departments across the full range of professions that support ongoing business operations. Interns are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. With the guidance of Electric Boat's senior staff and management, Program Scheduling or Scheduling Architecture Management Interns will assist planners, data management coordinators, or data modelers with a variety of tasks and projects, depending on their assignment. Possible areas of assignment include the following: Advance Planning/Engineering Planning: Supporting the company's work planning and tracking systems which control production and scheduling. Scheduling Architecture Management: Supporting the architecture of the company's scheduling software and performing various "what-if" scenario analysis or data modelling and reporting. Program Scheduling & Scheduling Architecture Management Summer Interns may be responsible for tasks involving the following:
Engineering/Construction project schedule development and maintenance
