  1. Role Summary

Consultant - Building Solutions delivers comprehensive consultation services to Engineering, Architecture, and owner-operator clients across a wide spectrum of software and workflows to help companies harness the full potential of their design technology.

This role is best suited for a candidate with hands-on experience supporting architecture/engineering teams, design coordination, model-based workflows, and technology implementations across building engineering and design organizations.

  1. Major Responsibilities/Activities
  • Consult with customers to help define their needs and qualify solutions to address them.
  • Work closely with sales staff and customers to document business goals and related processes.
  • Help define customer-specific data standards and frameworks for tailored solutions.
  • Write deliverable documents as applicable such as process analyses and recommendations.
  • Map existing engineering, design, and project delivery workflows and recommend technology solutions to support or improve standardization, coordination, automation, or measurable process improvement.
  • Lead and personally deliver multifaceted technology implementations through planning, configuration, guidance, pilot support, training, change management, and adoption follow-up to successful adoption.
  • Create intellectual property to support sales and implementation efforts.
  • Provide classroom training, mentoring, follow-up, and technical support to assist clients in the adoption of new technology.
  • Deliver software and industry-related technical presentations at seminars, workshops, conferences, user groups and client sites.
  • Act as a brand ambassador always seizing opportunities to increase IMAGINiT's visibility in the marketplace.
  • Participate in enterprise-wide digital transformation engagements by defining client requirements, shaping implementation roadmaps, and producing client-ready project deliverables.
  • Interface with various levels of project executives up to and including C-Level leaders to align technical recommendations with business objectives.
  • Drive problem formulation, comprehensive analysis, and problem resolution
  • Establish client value propositions that tie key strategic, financial, and operational metrics directly to near-and long-term business improvement.
  • Contribute to the engagement process from start to finish, including scope definition, budget planning, staff resource coordination, client-ready deliverable creation, and aid with communication of results.
  1. Education Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in an industry related discipline such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, architecture or equivalent experience.
  1. Experience/Skill Requirements
  • 7-8 years of industry experience in implementing design technology for Engineering, Architecture, or multi-discipline firms or related roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Advanced ability with Autodesk Revit and related design, engineering, and analysis software and workflows across multiple disciplines.
  • Knowledge in additional industry-related Autodesk software such as the Autodesk Forma, Navisworks, Forma Design Collaboration, or AutoCAD.
  • Ability to be engaged in multiple projects at one time is essential.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills.
  • Experience developing or advising on engineering-focused BIM execution plans, model standards, template strategies, content libraries, data standards, or multidisciplinary coordination workflows is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, high energy, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
  • Experience in data consulting or digital twin technologies is preferred.
  • Experience working within or advising large organizations on data standards and tailored digital solutions is preferred.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment providing clients with implementation services is preferred.
5 Work Environment
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

  • The employee needs to be able to stand and make presentations, conduct training in front of groups, 1:1, and via webinars.
7 Travel
  • This position requires up to 50% travel. Travel is frequently by air, is outside the local area and overnight. Access to a reliable automobile and a valid driver's license are required as well as the ability to legally enter both Canada and the US.
