Job Summary
Lafayette Group is seeking an experienced professional to provide advanced consulting support for a critical federal government program. Join our team of high-end strategy and management consultants and professionals who have served on the front lines of homeland security, law enforcement, criminal justice, emergency management, and the military.
Lafayette Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated graphic designer to support impactful projects for our federal clients, with a focus on providing support to groups that engage with government, industry, and general public stakeholders. This role is ideal for a candidate who excels in understanding the cybersecurity mission and making an impact with relevant stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be an adept, creative designer with a balance of strong critical thinking, writing, and communication skills. This position will involve working closely with project leads to understand program needs and produce visually compelling print and digital products that clearly communicate and promote key messages related to cybersecurity programs, services, and solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide graphic design to a client's external affairs organization to enhance communications and outreach to state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) entities responsible for critical infrastructure and cybersecurity
  • Collaborate with team members to develop visual marketing and communications products to promote cyber programs and initiatives.
  • Using industry-standard software applications (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), create visually compelling graphics, PowerPoint presentations, posters, fact sheets, report layouts, and digital media products) for internal and external stakeholder audiences using new or pre-defined layouts
  • Interpret complex technical concepts and turn them into easy-to-understand visual content such as infographics or animations
  • Ensure products meet 508 compliance requirements, when applicable
  • Ensure and maintain brand effectiveness and consistency in the design and review process (e.g., adhere to style guidelines and client preferences)
  • Perform in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality designs and products to meet project needs and deadlines; Be responsive and adaptive to quick turn requests
  • Handle routine administrative tasks (e.g., produce project status updates, craft narratives to propose graphic concepts)
  • Build strong relationships with team members and clients.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Art, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Media or Studio Arts, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust

Desired Skills
  • Experience working with management consulting clients or similar experience
  • Prior experience with critical infrastructure and / or cybersecurity missions

Location: Hybrid / Client-site (Northern VA);

Desired Start Date: 10.5.2026

Salary Range: $60K - $75K

New employees are not usually hired at the top of the estimated salary range and salary decisions depend on the circumstances and factors for each case. Salary is only one aspect of LGI's generous total compensation package.
