General Job Description Position Overview IES Residential is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to join our team. The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing operations, field performance, project execution, and service activities across multiple locations within an assigned region. This role works closely with branch leadership, field teams, project managers, and executive leadership to ensure operational efficiency, profitability, safety compliance, and exceptional customer service while supporting company goals and growth initiatives. Primary Responsibilities Oversee regional operations, including installation, service, maintenance, and project execution activities across multiple branches or locations. Monitor operational performance metrics, productivity, project schedules, financial results, and customer satisfaction within the assigned region. Collaborate with branch leadership, project managers, dispatch teams, and field supervisors to ensure operational efficiency and successful project completion. Develop and implement operational procedures, workflows, and best practices to improve consistency, performance, and service quality across the region. Support workforce planning, recruiting, training, mentoring, and development of operations personnel and leadership teams. Review manpower allocation, scheduling, and operational resources to ensure projects and service work are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. Ensure compliance with company policies, codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct field visits, operational audits, inspections, and performance evaluations throughout the region. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control initiatives related to operations. Identify operational challenges, service concerns, and process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions as needed. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and business partners. Support customer service initiatives and assist in resolving escalated operational or service-related concerns. Participate in leadership meetings and provide operational reporting, updates, and recommendations to executive leadership. Maintain professionalism and represent the company positively within the industry and community. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 6+ Specific Qualifications Required Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of operations, installation practices, service procedures, and industry standards. Excellent leadership, organizational, and operational management skills. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple locations, teams, projects, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements. Ability to develop and implement operational improvements and performance initiatives effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and or project management software. Strong customer service and relationship management skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop operational teams successfully. Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance management. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks. English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties. Spanish speaking preferred. Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners. Education/Experience High school diploma or GED required; associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Technology, or related field preferred. Minimum of 7 years of operations, field management, or service leadership experience preferred. Previous multi-location or regional operations management experience preferred. Residential construction or service industry experience preferred. Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties. Physical Requirements Travel as required to support project and operational needs. Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require. Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites. Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions. Wear safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment. Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures. Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically, including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology. Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position. Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support.
