Job Description

KIOXIA America, Inc. is currently looking for a Qualification Engineer to support our OEM Global Accounts in Austin, TX. This Qualification engineer will work with our US- and Japan-based teams managing KIOXIA Enterprise SSD qualifications and providing ongoing support. This role works in close collaboration with the Program Manager and test team to meet our qualification goals. Our ideal candidate needs to have extensive technical expertise in multi-cultural, interdisciplinary environments where teamwork, communication, and customer interaction skills are mandatory to successfully complete KIOXIA Storage Product qualifications.

Responsibilites:

  • Develop a deep understanding of a customer's qualification process and systems to enable the best solutions when issues come up taking into account risks, meeting customer requirements, and internal ROI
  • Collaborate with our teams allocating lab and test resources for meeting qualification milestones and deadlines
  • Build and maintain action items lists during the qualification process to enable synchronous communications with our Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Product Planning Teams
  • Develop strong working relationships with Japan Engineering teams as well as cross-functional US-Based teams for developing schedules to meet our customer's requirements
  • Assist in authoring and editing technical documents and delivering them to our OEM Customers as well as our internal engineering teams
  • Generate reports and provide timely updates to both our customers and multiple internal support teams
  • Able to jump in and help support Joint Qualification testing activities in our Product Test and Qualification Engineering lab.
  • Track status on drives and monitor Failure Analysis activity to closure which includes generating reports and providing timely updates to both our OEM and internal support teams
  • Perform other duties related to supporting OEM customers
Qualifications
  • The candidate must have a good working knowledge of using Enterprise Windows, Linux Servers, and Storage platforms
  • Familiar with Enterprise SSD technologies and have at least 5 years of experience in the technical industry
  • Working knowledge of SAS/SATA/NVMe Interfaces as well as a well-rounded understanding of AI storage, server/storage architecture, operating systems, and RAID file systems
  • The candidate must have excellent communication and organization skills for internal and external communications necessary to support a large OEM Customer
  • B.S. Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or equivalent combination of professional experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience using SAS/SATA/NVMe Analyzers to debug interface related issues

The expected salary for this position is$115,470.00 - 192,440.00.
