JOB SUMMARY:

The RVP, New Business Development is a senior individual contributor responsible for originating, shaping, and closing complex net-new opportunities across commercial and federal healthcare markets. The role builds strategic relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals and health systems, regional health plans, and applies deep market expertise to achieve revenue growth.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and execute strategic account, territory, and market plans that achieve net-new revenue and expansion objectives.

2. Identify, qualify, and advance complex opportunities across commercial healthcare, employee benefits, and federal government markets.

3. Build trusted executive relationships with federal decision-makers, payors, providers, health plans, and partners.

4. Lead discovery, solution strategy, value proposition, negotiation, and closing activities for complex pursuits.

5. Navigate procurement, contracting vehicles, RFPs, RFQs, capture strategy, proposal development, compliance, and contract requirements.

6. Develop relationships with resellers, systems integrators, small and large business partners, stop-loss carriers, and channel organizations to improve reach and win probability.

7. Maintain a high-quality pipeline, accurate CRM records, forecasts, opportunity plans, and performance reporting.

8. Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals while balancing revenue, profitability, customer value, and strategic fit.

9. Monitor market, competitor, regulatory, procurement, and industry trends and translate findings into growth actions.

10. Partner with Product, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Implementation, and Customer Success to position and deliver solutions.

11. Represent the Company at conferences, industry forums, partner meetings, and executive customer engagements.

12. Provide functional leadership, coaching, and subject-matter guidance to colleagues and cross-functional pursuit teams without direct supervisory authority.

13. Address customer questions regarding services, contracts, implementation, and ongoing concerns and coordinate timely resolution.

14. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments while demonstrating the Company's Core Competencies and values.

15. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, federal procurement, privacy, security, legal, contractual, ethics, and confidentiality requirements.

16. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB SCOPE:

This role works with substantial independence, executive visibility, and broad influence over strategic accounts, pipeline, partnerships, and complex pursuits. The incumbent exercises expert judgment involving revenue, procurement, contracts, market positioning, customer relationships, and pursuit investment. This is a senior principal individual-contributor role without direct people-management authority.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

* Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.

* At least 10 years of progressive sales or business-development experience, including healthcare, employee benefits, federal sales, government contracting, or related markets.

* Proven record of achieving sales targets and closing complex net-new business.

* Deep knowledge of federal procurement and contracting and/or relationships with regional health plans, employers, providers, and payors.

* Advanced sales, capture, negotiation, presentation, relationship-management, and stakeholder-influence skills.

* Experience leading cross-functional pursuit teams through influence without direct authority.

* Strong strategic planning, market analysis, forecasting, pipeline-management, and problem-solving skills.

* Working knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM, Microsoft Office, and web-based business applications.

* High professionalism, organization, flexibility, confidentiality, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

* Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or board certifications as applicable.

* Ability to work in a standard office environment; travel of approximately 70 to 75 percent may be required.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $175K-$200K base plus commission. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience, and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k, and bonus opportunity.
