Analytical X-ray Systems Specialist, Semi

Rigaku is seeking an Analytical System Specialist to join our Field Service team. This entry-level role provides comprehensive technical training and hands-on experience with advanced analytical X-ray and semiconductor metrology systems. The successful candidate will support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of XRF, XRD, XRR, SAXS, and related technologies while delivering exceptional technical support to customers in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system performance checks.
• Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, software, and system issues.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and qualifications.
• Provide professional on-site and remote customer support.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior technical resources.
• Document service activities, repairs, and customer concerns.
• Follow company and customer safety, cleanroom, and service procedures.
• Participate in technical training to develop independent field-service capabilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related technical field.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant technical experience.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Effective customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to learn complex analytical equipment and software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to analytical instrumentation, semiconductor equipment, laboratory systems, or technical field service.
• Familiarity with vacuum, high-voltage, electronics, automation, or electromechanical systems.
