Registered Nurse - Ambulatory OB

Clinical nursing position in Ambulatory Business Unit, Obstetrics and Maternal Medicine Department. The RN applies the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care, delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered nursing services. Working collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, the RN provides compassionate care to patients across the continuum, performs established nursing procedures, supports the care of patients with complex clinical needs under appropriate supervision, and contributes to care coordination, patient education, quality improvement, and a positive patient experience. The position is designed to foster the transition from novice to competent ambulatory registered nurse while ensuring high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of recent clinical RN experience in L&D or OB
• The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

• Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.

• Basic computer keyboard skills and general PC knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN

Licensure/Certifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification
