Overview
VTG is seeking a Director Quality Assurance Systems Integration to support our Virignia Beach location.
What will you do?
Provides leadership and oversight of Quality Assurance across the Systems Integration Strategic Business Unit, including Fleet Modernization, Prototype and Fabrication, Maritime Systems, and IT Modernization. Owns the Systems Integration Quality Management System (QMS), quality governance, organizational assurance, and technical assurance programs. Leads the Quality organization and provides independent assessment of quality, compliance, technical risk, and organizational effectiveness to Systems Integration leadership.
- Lead the Systems Integration Quality Assurance organization and establish quality priorities, standards, expectations, and governance across the SBU.
- Directly manage the Quality Assurance and Training Managers supporting Submarines, Pacific Fleet, and Atlantic Fleet.
- Own and continuously improve the Systems Integration QMS, including ISO 9001 certification and compliance.
- Own Management Systems and Organizational Assurance, including internal assessments, process compliance, corrective action, causal analysis, and evaluation of organizational effectiveness.
- Own and administer the Systems Integration Internal Corrective Action Request (ICAR) framework, including governance, guidance, records, trending, and integration within the QMS.
- Own Document and Records Control and establish requirements for development, review, approval, revision, retention, and control of organizational documentation.
- Provide overall governance and oversight of the Weld/NDT Program and other technical assurance, qualification, and certification programs assigned to Quality.
- Establish and evaluate quality performance measures, trends, deficiencies, corrective actions, customer feedback, and lessons learned to identify systemic risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Establish Quality's role in workforce training and proficiency and ensure quality performance and lessons learned are used to identify areas requiring additional development.
- Provide management oversight of the Fleet Modernization Safety Program.
- Provide independent assessment and reporting to Systems Integration leadership on significant quality, compliance, technical, and organizational risks.
- Support new programs, proposals, certifications, and growth initiatives requiring Quality or technical assurance involvement.
- Serve as the senior Quality Assurance authority for Systems Integration and represent the organization on significant customer, regulatory, certification, and technical quality matters.
Do you have what it takes?
- High School Diploma / GED
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- Eight (8) - Ten (10) years experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $80,000-$125,000/ Annually which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
