Position Summary
The Benderson Family Heart Center at Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a full time Senior Clinical Research Coordinator (SrCRC) to oversee the clinical research portfolio of Pediatric Cardiologist, Dr. Kathy Jenkins.
The incumbent will lead the development and implementation of the following clinical research projects for the following programs:
  1. The International Quality Improvement Collaborative (IQIC) is centered at Boston Children's Hospital and includes a network of over 50 pediatric cardiac centers in multiple countries around the globe (https://iqic.chboston.org). IQIC includes a data registry of pediatric cardiac surgical and catheterization procedures and outcomes.
The Pulmonary Vein Stenosis (PVS) Program focuses on clinical research protocols aimed at improving the lives of children with PVS (Pulmonary Vein Stenosis Program | Research & Innovation | Boston Children's Hospital).

Key Responsibilities
  • In conjunction with the Principal Investigator (PI) and/or designees, manages the work of multiple clinical research studies and registries.
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of best practice guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for maintaining data quality and research infrastructure.
  • May collaborate with Principal Investigator and other scientific staff in financial sustainability activities: developing and writing grants and research proposals; seeking philanthropic support.
  • Coordinates communication between study staff and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Hires, trains, and manages research staff and conducts Performance Management process. As needed, identifies and manages interns and medical students.
  • Monitors program budget, maintains financial records, establishes and maintains research billing schedule, and ensures compliance with hospital and governmental regulations.
  • Plans and implements educational offerings and bi-annual learning sessions.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of research and/or clinical experience. Master's degree in Public Health, Global Health, Healthcare Management or a closely related field and 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Experience:
  • Must be able to perform day-to-day responsibilities independently with minimal supervision, supervise and train staff effectively, and possess aptitude for budget management.
  • Ability to effectively engage with and influence others and build working relationships. Can work independently and as a team member; leads others when needed.
  • The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in which the information or problems are moderately complex to complex.
  • Must have advanced writing skills

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
