| Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The Community Engagement Visibility Project Associate will lead a focused visibility project for the
CHHS Community Engagement and Health Equity unit designed to increase awareness, engagement, participation, and accessibility across key programs and initiatives. The position will coordinate program- and project-specific communications, outreach, resource development, and implementation supports. Work will complement and align with broader
CHHS marketing and communications efforts while focusing specifically on the visibility, promotion, data collection, and project needs of Community Engagement and Health Equity programs. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree with at two year of experience related to mentorship, community engagement, higher education, or instructional design. Proficiency in MS Office including excel, outlook, and word, and knowledge of program evaluation required. Experience in data visualization and design software, such as Canva. |
| Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience |
- Master's degree preferred.
- Strong written communication, editing, and content-development skills.
- Experience developing newsletters, reports, promotional materials, or other audience-facing communications.
- Ability to translate program information into clear, engaging materials for diverse campus and community audiences.
- Experience with instructional design, learning management systems, digital content development, or training-resource development preferred.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with communications, academic, community engagement, and programmatic partners.
- Familiarity with tools such as Canvas, Lumens, GivePulse/EngageUNCW, video production, or digital communication platforms is beneficial.

Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment.
