Student Unions Job Description
Theater Operations at Mizzou is looking to hire part-time event staff to serve as house managers, box office personnel, and stage crew. All work will be call based with the employee deciding whether they can take the work or not. Theater Operations is responsible for running Mizzou's largest event venues outside of Athletics, the 1700-seat Jesse Auditorium at the heart of campus and the 1200-seat historic Missouri Theatre in downtown Columbia. We operate ticketing services, front of house patron services, and backstage services. All of these areas work together to support exceptional events for the MU School of Music, faculty and department presentations, community artistic groups, and national touring artists. We do everything from pop concerts to musicals and just about everything in between. The Box Office has ticket agent positions that help patrons with ticket sales and other information about upcoming events. There are regular daytime shifts as well as evening and weekend shifts at the beginning of events. Front of House includes house managers, ticket scanners, greeters, and ushers. These people help patrons navigate the venues and find their seats. The Stage Crew is responsible for the technical aspects of events by setting up and operating the lighting, audio, and media presentation equipment. Shift

High school diploma or equivalent and some work experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Experience in customer service or technical theater work. Anticipated Hiring Range
