MaineHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established Neurology practice serving patients throughout Knox & Waldo Counties in Maine. This opportunity offers the ability to care for a diverse population of patients with neurological conditions while working alongside experienced neurologists, nurses, and support staff committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

The successful candidate will provide outpatient neurological care and support infusion therapy services while helping patients access specialty care locally, reducing the need for travel extended distances. This position includes practice responsibilities at both our Rockport and Belfast locations, providing variety and flexibility within a collaborative regional care model.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with neurology physicians
  • Support and monitor patients receiving infusion therapies and various neurological testing
  • Provide patient and family education regarding disease management, treatment options, and preventive care
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, therapists, and community resources
  • Participate in quality improvement and care coordination initiatives
  • Support patient access needs through practice coverage at both Rockport and Belfast locations

This Position Offers

At MaineHealth, we recognize the value each team member brings to our organization. Total compensation packages may include, based on eligibility, recruitment payments, relocation assistance, shift differentials, productivity-based incentives, quality incentives and other premiums.

The pay range for this position is $113,081 to $146,341 annually based on the candidate's level of experience.
