The Assembler I plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by efficiently operating and maintaining assembly stations to build, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or complete units in accordance with detailed specifications. This role involves adhering to established manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality outputs. The position requires proficient use of various hand tools, power tools, and assembly line equipment to put together products accurately. Testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms are integral to the role to confirm all components consistently meet precise tolerances, product standards, and quality benchmarks. This position is ideal for individuals at an entry-level stage in their manufacturing career, typically requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. Under the close supervision of senior staff, the Assembler I will gain valuable experience by performing tasks with diligence and a focus on quality while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The essential functions of the Assembler I position involve precise assembly of manufactured components following established procedures. This includes operating and maintaining assembly line stations, using hand and power tools, and conducting quality checks through testing and calibration to ensure all products meet strict specifications and tolerances. The role requires maintaining accurate production documentation on a daily basis and ensuring adherence to safety and cleanliness standards to support an efficient manufacturing environment. Repairing or reworking parts or units that do not meet quality standards is also a fundamental part of the job, often conducted under the guidance of senior personnel. Physical requirements include manual dexterity and the ability to safely handle tools and equipment. The role demands consistent attention to detail, reliability in following safety protocols, and effective communication with supervisors and peers to maintain productivity and product excellence.
