Responsibilities

SCOPE:

Manages practice activities and assigned operational areas, typically in one location with a single line of oncology business (medical or radiation) or in multiple locations with six or less physicians. Assists with the development of practice objectives to ensure financial profitability through short and long range planning in order to achieve and maintain growth. Continually evaluates practice strategies and plans to meet changing national, state, and local needs. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise surgical administrative and front office staff, including schedulers, receptionists, and support personnel.

  • Oversee daily operations such as appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out. Coordinate day-to-day clinic activities to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Within scope of authority, oversees the development of systems (both manual and automated) to properly support practice-wide activities based upon business needs.

  • Promotes effective communication and adequate information flow within the practice.

  • Analyzes general and specific business conditions as they relate to operational issues; acts and advises on these matters within scope.

  • Monitor staffing levels and manage schedules to ensure adequate coverage and workflow continuity.

  • Support and enforce policies related to patient access, registration accuracy, and data entry in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership to streamline operations and improve patient experience.

  • Address and resolve operational issues, patient complaints, and workflow disruptions in a timely and professional manner.

  • Drive theplanning and implementation of quality improvement projects.

  • Coordinate with departments such as billing, IT, and facilities as needed to support operational goals.

  • Ensure clinic compliance with applicable care standards and laws. Assist with documentation audits, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in incident reporting and operational reviews as needed.

SALARY RANGE:
$75,000 - $95,000 annual

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or Healthcare related field.

  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience in healthcare management, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity. Experience managing in a multi-provider environment.

  • Prior experience in a surgery clinic preferred.

  • Experience managing remote teams.

  • Collaborative leadership style and mindset.
