Description

This position is part of the Account Processing department within Bank Operations and supports Retail, Commercial, and Private Banking teams in opening and maintaining deposit accounts. The role helps ensure account documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant while contributing to process improvements, operational controls, and key annual reporting activities. As a Specialist in the department you will be responsible for several functions within the department that recur annually and impact multiple lines of business, including unclaimed property escheatment activities and year-end tax reporting obligations.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate annual unclaimed property escheatment activities and year-end tax reporting obligations across multiple lines of business.
  • Analyze operational data, processes, controls, and supporting technologies to identify trends, inefficiencies, and control gaps.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen controls, increase efficiency, and enhance service to internal business partners.
  • Lead operational initiatives from planning through implementation, coordinating with stakeholders across the Bank.
  • Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and process documentation; interpret applicable IRA guidance and unclaimed property laws to support compliance.
  • Configure and optimize account-processing applications, cross-train on departmental functions, and provide support during high-volume periods.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least five years of related experience in banking operations, deposit operations, account processing, or a comparable financial services environment.
  • Working knowledge of year-end tax reporting and unclaimed property requirements.
  • Experience interpreting regulatory guidance or state laws and translating requirements into operational procedures.
  • Experience analyzing data and developing reports using Microsoft Excel to identify trends and support business improvements.
  • Experience documenting operational processes, procedures, or policies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with the ability to learn and support job-specific and web-based applications.

Primary hours for this department are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. Additional hours may be required as needed.

In addition, the position is expected to read, reference, interpret, and develop written departmental procedures, cross train on department tasks, make suggestions to correct or enhance existing processes, and take advantage of available opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of applicable regulations, operational compliance, and the banking industry to support career development and growth.

Position is located on-site in Oklahoma city, must reside in area to be considered
