You will lead the identification and mitigation of ethics and compliance risks associated with client service across these practices and help ensure projects are delivered with integrity and in accordance with applicable requirements.
You will lead day-to-day E&C monitoring activities across Telecom, Media & Technology projects, including compliance with contractual terms and guardrails, documentation retention requirements, and remediation plans. You will support the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and practices for identifying, managing, and reporting on ethics and compliance risks; review project plans, interim materials, communications, and final deliverables; synthesize data into insights for internal and external reporting; and provide guidance on E&C-related training and communications for client delivery teams.
You will collaborate with senior, cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Risk, and regulatory compliance experts, and serve as a contributor and thought partner within the Sector Compliance team and broader E&C function. You will also support regionally focused integrity initiatives.
Your work will help sustain and evolve McKinsey's E&C program while enabling client impact and upholding the firm's commitment to integrity and lawful practices.
You will be based in the United States or Europe as part of McKinsey's Ethics and Compliance (E&C) function and the Sector Compliance pillar.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree(s) and/ or applicable professional certifications (e.g., Juris Doctor or CPA) preferred
  • 7+ years of Telecom, Media & Technology industry experience; prior consulting with a background in risk and regulatory compliance preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, driving and implementing holistic E&C programs (preferably in Telecom, Media & Technology)
  • Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and compliance considerations relevant to Telecom, Media & Technology
  • Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset to progress on ambiguous problems and see them through to resolution
  • Influences and engages with all types of audiences to cultivate trust-based, peer-counselor relationships
  • Builds trust-based relationships with leaders within and outside of the team; collaborates generously with others and is sought after as a key thought partner
  • Drives outcomes on cross-functional and complex topics and possesses exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Exhibits highest levels of discretion and judgment in safeguarding confidential materials
  • Fosters a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive environment for all colleagues
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and craft cohesive storylines and communications

To help you understand what you can expect, the salary range for new joiners in this role in Canada and/or the United States, including all office locations where the job may be performed, is $159,200 - $212,100 in USD and $153,000 - $203,000 in CAD gross per year. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest salary for this role at the time of this posting, ensuring you have a clear picture right from the start, though it's important to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
