JOB SUMMARY

This individual will design, coordinate, and project manage the fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • Three years' experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required; or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Designs and creates the finished representation for the sprinkler systems using drawing and drafting skills and tools.
  • The drawings produced will be used as a guide by every other link in the chain of construction, both on-site and in the office.
  • Responsible for the initial planning of a project including scheduling of time, creating material stock listing analyzing changes, and solving problems.
  • Responsible for tracking, forecasting, and communicating all costs, profits, and financial measures of the project.
  • Works in close coordination with the project superintendent, and sales representative will be required throughout the life of the project.
  • Conducts long range project planning and scheduling.
  • Monitors and manages projects to comply with safety, quality, productivity, and profitability requirements.
  • Tracks employee hours and crew mix rates for each project.
  • Identifies changes in projects that impact cost, schedule, or labor requirements.
  • Make sure change orders/change estimates are completed in timely manner.
  • Monitors project billings for accuracy and maintenance of a positive cash flow.
  • Continually monitors progress of projects; review reports to ensure compliance with schedule and budgetary guidelines.
  • Reviews drawings and assist/lead during field check stage of the project.
  • Ensures work complies with codes and permits.
  • Reports to owner and general contractor about progress and any necessary modifications required.
  • Reviews construction contract documents and coordinate with sub-contractors and General Contractor/owner to gather the required information to design the project's sprinkler system.
  • Thorough use of analytical thinking and problem solving, determine construction feasibility and systems possibilities.
  • Create detailed drawings through extensive use of AutoCAD, AutoSprink programs.
  • Create stock list for all material required throughout the project.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations.
  • Coordinate with other departments within office to ensure proper handover of job information.
  • Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested.


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


  • Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
  • This position comes with an opportunity for a sign-on bonus, yearly discretionary bonus, and relocation bonus (if applicable).
