Position Title: Japanese Bilingual Relocation Sales Consultant - Real Estate (Outside Sales)
Location: Arlington Heights, IL (field-based role covering the Chicago suburban area, with occasional travel for corporate sales and training)
Classification: Non-Exempt (with a potential future change to Outside Sales Exempt after learning the business and obtaining an Illinois Real Estate Salesperson License)
Work Schedule:
- Until licensed: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, in office every day (includes a 1-hour paid lunch break).
- After licensing and becoming fully independent: A hybrid schedule may be considered. It is based on about 3 office days per week, but the schedule changes often with client needs and may include full in-office weeks. Even on office days, more than half of the work happens outside the office (client visits, property tours, and so on). This is a field sales role, not a remote-focused position.
- Occasional work before 9:00 AM, after 5:00 PM, or on weekends may be required. Peak season: March-June. Slower season: December-February.
Why This Role Stands Out
Most real estate professionals in the U.S. work as independent contractors on commission only. This role is a rare alternative:
- Guaranteed base salary, whether or not deals close
- All business expenses covered, including mileage (IRS rate) and advertising
- Performance-based bonus on top of base pay
- Company-paid Illinois real estate license, so you can start a professional career even without prior real estate experience
- Full benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, paid holidays, sick leave and vacation, and a 401(k) with company match
Who Will Thrive Here
- Sales professionals from any industry who want to build specialized expertise and a licensed professional career
- People who prefer being out meeting clients over sitting at a desk all day
- People who enjoy relationship-building and adapt easily when client needs change
