Position Summary
Advanced Assembly is seeking a Training Specialist to provide employee training and development within an electronics manufacturing environment.

The Training Specialist will conduct new employee orientations and ongoing technical, quality, safety, and process training. The position also provides hands-on coaching and mentoring on the production floor, develops and improves training materials, maintains training records, and works with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to identify and address training needs.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct training sessions for new and current employees.
  • Develop and prepare manufacturing-related training materials.
  • Provide hands-on training and mentoring at employee workstations.
  • Train employees on safety, 5S/6S, QMS requirements, IPC workmanship standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate quality data and workmanship to assess training effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Work with Quality and Safety teams to update procedures and training materials.
  • Support safety inspections and audits.
  • Deliver cross-functional training, including Lean and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Address performance concerns and recommend improvements to training programs and materials.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience applying IPC-A-610 standards in an electronics manufacturing environment required.
  • Minimum three years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and 5S/6S.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA and workplace safety practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage employees in a professional and approachable manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of understanding.

Preferred Qualifications
  • One to two years of employee training experience.
  • Current or prior IPC Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) certification.
  • Experience with IPC/J-STD-001 and/or IPC-7711/7721 standards.
  • Experience with ERP and QMS systems.
  • Experience developing training materials or evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Experience with safety training or OSHA programs.

Schedule
This is a full-time, fully onsite position working Monday-Friday, approximately 7:30 AM-4:00 PM. The position requires some flexibility to support occasional second-shift training, approximately once per month, with advance notice.
