Position Title: Production
Wage: $17.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:40am-1:48pm QPS Employment Group has a great Production position available at a company in Fort Madison, IA. This is a 1st shift, temporary position. Production Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Open boxes and inspect packaged products during the quality rework process. - Tap the tops of cans and containers to verify proper seals. - Identify containers that do not meet quality standards. - Remove improperly sealed containers and replace them with approved product. - Repackage and close boxes after inspection and rework are completed. - Palletize completed product for shipment or storage. - Follow established quality procedures to ensure products meet company requirements. - Perform repetitive inspection tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Maintain a clean and organized work area. - Follow all required safety procedures and PPE requirements. - Work in either a seated or standing position throughout the shift as needed. Production Requirements: - High school diploma or GED preferred. - Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, inspection, or quality control experience preferred but not required. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. - Ability to identify defects and ensure corrective actions are completed accurately. - Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently throughout the workday. - Ability to work independently and maintain productivity standards. - Good organizational skills and dependability. - Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. - Ability to lift 8-10 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
