Content Specialist & Visual Designer

We are seeking a Content Specialist & Visual Designer to join our client's Inclusion & Diversity Business Planning team. In this role, you will take operational outputs, progress narratives, and milestone data from across the I&D organization and translate them into executive-level reporting, company-wide newsletters, and structured online resource platforms. This position focuses heavily on business writing, information synthesis, and leveraging generative AI and prompt engineering to build out internal web resources and visual assets without writing code.



  • Location: Cupertino, CA (In-Office / Hybrid)
  • Schedule: In-Office T/W/Th; Remote M/F
  • Role Type: Full-Time Contract; 40 hours per week
  • Duration: through 9/24/2027
  • Max Hourly Pay Rate: $38.78/hour
  • Pay Comments: W2, weekly pay, benefits, 401k w/ match

Key Responsibilities & Core Deliverables

1. Status Synthesis & Executive Roll-Up Reporting (~40%)



  • Digest complex progress reports, outcomes, and milestone tracking from I&D strategy management system.
  • Extract key operational updates and distill them into concise, high-impact Keynote updates for VP and senior leadership readouts.
  • Synthesize technical and organizational progress into clear, narrative-driven business updates focused on outcomes and impact.


2. Online Resource Platform & Web Design (~30%)



  • Design and structure internal web-based resource hubs to make I&D materials easily accessible across the organization.
  • Map visual architecture, page layouts, content placement, and navigation flow (no HTML/coding required).
  • Utilize the company's internal generative AI creation platforms to generate, publish, and maintain team landing pages and web experiences.


3. Company-Wide Newsletter & Content Creation (~20%)



  • Develop and write a high-level, company-wide newsletter highlighting I&D priorities, progress, and storytelling initiatives.
  • Draft executive memos, team communications, and resource copy with high business-writing rigor.
  • Ensure all messaging aligns with the company's internal tone, style, and brand standards.


4. AI-Driven Visuals & Graphic Creation (~10%)



  • Use prompt engineering to generate visuals, banners, and layouts for web pages, presentations, and newsletters via generative AI tools.
  • Coordinate with internal data analytics teams when specialized data visualization is required.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Business Writing & Executive Synthesis: Proven ability to digest dense project management/operational data and condense it into clear, executive-ready narratives and briefs.
  • AI Tool Fluency & Prompt Engineering: High proficiency in prompt engineering and utilizing generative AI tools to draft content, generate graphics, and build web pages rapidly.
  • Presentation Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Keynote (or strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with an ability to transition).
  • Information Architecture & Web Layout Sense: Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, UX layout, and navigation structure for web environments (no programming or HTML coding required).
  • Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Cupertino, CA.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Background in corporate communications, editorial writing, journalism, or business operations.
  • Hands-on experience with traditional design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or Sketch).


Interview Process & Work Samples:

  • Interview Structure: 3-part virtual interview process
  • Work Samples: Candidates will be asked to walk through a work sample during the hiring manager interview, demonstrating business writing clarity, tone, and the ability to convey complex objectives concisely. Portfolio submissions showing executive briefs or updates are strongly encouraged.
