Job Overview We are currently looking for paid Quality Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering Interns to join our team in Holland, MI. This position will be working onsite at the Haworth Corporate Headquarters. Get ready for an adventurous summer as a Haworth intern! You'll join a cohort of around 50 other dynamic interns for a 12-week program packed with meaningful projects and weekly learning opportunities. You'll attend NeoCon, the largest commercial design event in the world, where you will get an insider's look at all the latest industry trends and innovations. Sharpen your skills with interactive workshops on networking, public speaking, and using AI tools in a business environment. Connect with mentors and see all areas of the office and manufacturing processes. Then unwind at intern-only social events where you can meet people from all corners of the business. By the end of the summer, you'll leave with real skills, an expanded professional network, and memories to last a lifetime. This is your chance to take your career to new heights! As a Quality or Manufacturing Engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to assist with a variety of exciting projects including: Quality projects will include writing and reviewing standard work, reviewing PFMEA & Control Plans, problem solving to reduce scrap and reduce defects sent to our customers, small gage design, and using CAD to create visual displays. Manufacturing Engineering Projects will include improving one or more of the 5 KPI's. An example would be, doing a value stream map of an assembly cell to determine the current state, identify the problems that are causing the work center to be late on customer orders, identify the ideal future state for that work center, and detail out the projects that will be needed to reach the future state.
