The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy is a distinguished leader in pharmacy education, research, and service at the regional, national, and international levels. Primarily situated on the University of Georgia campus in Athens, the College also has extended campuses in Albany, Augusta, Savannah, and Metro Atlanta (Gwinnett). The College offers nationally recognized pharmacy and pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, experimental therapeutics, social and administrative sciences, and regulatory sciences degree programs and provides a rigorous, research-based curriculum taught by accomplished faculty in an experiential learning environment. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's, specialist, or doctoral degree in a related discipline; doctoral degree in a related discipline highly preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in academic assessment, accreditation, educational evaluation, institutional effectiveness, and/or program evaluation.
  • Background in pharmacy education or another health professions education program.
  • Knowledge of and involvement with ACPE accreditation or other specialized accreditation processes.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in developing executive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence software.
  • Working knowledge of Enflux, CORE ELMS, ExamSoft, Brightspace/D2L, REDCap, Qualtrics, curriculum mapping software, and student information systems.
  • Proficiency with statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS, Python, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics, learning analytics, and educational data visualization.
  • Demonstrated success managing assessment, accreditation, or continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively with faculty, administrators, and staff.

Position Summary
The Director of Assessment provides leadership for assessment, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement activities for the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program within the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. This position manages the collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of educational data used to support curricular effectiveness, student success, accreditation compliance, and evidence-informed decision-making.

Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Professional Education, the Director collaborates extensively with faculty, administrators, staff, students, and university partners to develop and sustain a culture of assessment that promotes accountability, continuous improvement, and educational excellence. The position oversees assessmenttechnologies, reporting systems, data governance practices, educational analytics, and program evaluation processes while providing consultation and recommendations to college leadership regarding educational outcomes and program effectiveness.

  • Knowledge of higher education assessment practices and accreditation standards, including Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards.

Management of PharmD Assessment, Evaluation, and Continuous Quality Improvement

  • Direct and manage the assessment and evaluation infrastructure supporting the PharmD program.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and continuously refine the College's PharmD Assessment and Evaluation Plan.
  • Coordinate assessment activities related to student learning, curricular effectiveness, experiential education, co-curricular programs, and educational outcomes.
  • Analyze and interpret assessment findings and prepare reports for faculty, committees, and leadership.
  • Coordinate reporting and analysis of nationally benchmarked assessment measures.
  • Support development and administration of assessment processes for students, faculty, alumni, preceptors, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor implementation and effectiveness of continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other curriculum and assessment-related duties as assigned to promote the effective operation and ongoing development of the PharmD program.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to ensure alignment of assessment activities with institutional goals and accreditation standards.

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations supporting educational effectiveness and decision-making.
  • Evaluate emerging assessment technologies, learning analytics platforms, and related tools to improve assessment operations.
