Valiant is looking for a Supply Technician / Inventory Specialist to support the Joint Staff J-7, Joint Technology & Simulations Division (JTSD) in Suffolk, Virginia, on the Collective Joint Training (CJT) contract. This part-time, hourly position supports day-to-day logistics, property accountability, inventory management, asset tracking, warehouse operations, and facility-support requirements for JTSD and the Joint Training Enterprise Network (JTEN).

The Supply Technician / Inventory Specialist will work closely with the Logistics Manager, Joint Staff Support Services Office-Hampton Roads (JSSSO-HR), J6 Asset Management, JTEN personnel, CJT teammates, and other Government and contractor stakeholders. The successful candidate will maintain accurate accountability of Government equipment, resolve inventory and property discrepancies, coordinate equipment movement and disposition, and track logistics and facility-support actions through completion. JTEN is a persistent joint-training network that supports joint training activities; this role helps ensure its equipment and workspaces remain accountable and operationally supported.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Maintain and update the inventory management system daily to ensure equipment, asset, and inventory data is accurate, current, and complete.
  • Coordinate daily with the JTSD Logistics Manager to identify requirements, establish priorities, complete assigned tasks, and provide timely status updates.
  • Support JTSD and JTEN logistics, supply, inventory, property-accountability, warehouse, and equipment-management activities.
  • Receive, inspect, store, issue, stage, deliver, pick up, ship, and move equipment, parts, materials, and supplies as required.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for equipment movement, transfers, turn-ins, disposition actions, shipping and receiving, physical inventories, and property accountability.
  • Conduct and support periodic physical inventories; validate equipment locations; research discrepancies; reconcile records; and update asset data as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the JSSSO-HR Property Book Officer, Warehouse Supervisor, and J6 Asset Management Team to identify, validate, track, transfer, account for, and turn in J-7 and JTSD equipment.
  • Identify excess, obsolete, damaged, unserviceable, or no-longer-required equipment and coordinate its transfer, turn-in, or disposition through established Government procedures.
  • Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure equipment and materials are secure, labeled, protected, accessible, and available to support mission requirements.
  • Coordinate and track facility-support requirements with CJT personnel, JSSSO-HR, and building-maintenance staff, including routine repairs, pest-control concerns, furniture delivery, relocation, removal, and turn-in.
  • Track logistics, property, inventory, equipment, maintenance, and facility-support actions through completion, and provide accurate updates to JTSD and CJT leadership as required.
  • Follow all applicable Government, contract, company, safety, security, personnel, supply, and property-accountability procedures; maintain professional working relationships with Government, military, contractor, logistics, warehouse, and facility-support personnel; and perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Active Secret

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate; and five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience in inventory management, logistics, supply, property accountability, asset management, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, equipment management, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of inventory, supply, warehouse, and equipment-accountability practices, including receiving, storage, issue, transfer, shipment, reconciliation, turn-in, and disposition.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory, asset, supply, and property-accountability records; identify discrepancies; gather relevant information; and coordinate resolution using established processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, accountability, customer service, communication, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively as part of an integrated Government-contractor team.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and follow verbal and written directions in English; exercise sound judgment; and resolve routine problems using established guidance.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense, Joint Staff, a military organization, federal agency, or Government-contractor environment.
  • Experience supporting Joint Staff J-7, JTSD, JTEN, Collective Joint Training, or a comparable military training, simulation, technical, or operational-support organization.
  • Familiarity with Government property-accountability processes, including property-book procedures, hand receipts, custody records, asset transfers, inventory reconciliation, equipment turn-in, and disposition.
  • Experience using inventory, asset-management, property-accountability, warehouse-management, logistics-tracking, or hardware-resource management systems, including the JTEN Hardware Resource Hub or a comparable tool.
  • Experience supporting Government warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, material handling, equipment movement, asset disposition, furniture/workspace management, building maintenance, or facility-service coordination.


PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally and audibly.
  • Occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move materials, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
