The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Manager Sr. As the Clinical Research Manager Sr of our stroke genetic epidemiology and multi-omics research group, the candidate will oversee multiple NIH-funded, single and multi-site research studies within the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine. The candidate will be an experienced research coordinator who has a history of working on large observational multi-center studies, managing research staff and overseeing human research studies. The right candidate will be organized, efficient and a strong leader who can work well within multidisciplinary teams. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, with four days per week on-site and one day remote. The office is conveniently located near the University of Cincinnati's main medical campus in Clifton, Ohio.

Essential Functions
  • Manage a portfolio of internally and externally funded epidemiological research studies. This includes study start-up, maintenance and close-out with the support of a centralized regulatory team; preparing for and running multi-site research meetings
  • Provide oversight, tracking progress of direct reports and research studies/programs/projects/initiatives within purview, including supervision of the day-to-day functions of direct reports.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the single Institutional Review Board at the University of Cincinnati and the performance sites and manage the site activation and site closure processes new studies. This includes submitting and tracking central and site-level IRB submissions for site initial reviews, PI changes, and other modifications.
  • The role will also involve ensuring IRB compliance across all sites; reviewing site, regulatory, and staff documents; managing the financial interest disclosure process; overseeing the delegation of authority log process; assisting with REDCap eConsent management; facilitating IRB approvals for site Principal Investigator changes; tracking and assisting with the clinical trial agreement process, including any modifications throughout the study; and participating in site readiness calls. Oversee safety surveillance throughout the study, including prompt reporting of Unanticipated Problems, non-compliance and/or serious protocol deviations to the single Institutional Review Board and Data Coordinating Center if applicable, and drive the Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) process.
  • Able to provide coverage for direct reports as needed.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities and provide guidance to team members in managing non-compliance, safety concerns, including input on corrective and preventive actions within the applicable program/project, department, or central unit.
  • Perform related duties based on divisional or departmental need, which may include assisting with recruitment and retention efforts. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Nine (9) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirements.
Required Experience
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Experience in an academic or clinical setting in the area of clinical specialization.
  • Experience running clinical trials and/or regulatory experience.
  • RN / BSN.
  • SoCRA or ACRP certification.
