The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis. SSAG is hiring for full-time Operations Research Analyst (MBSE Lead) at HQ USSTRATCOM, Offutt AFB, NE.


Responsibilities

The Operations Research Analyst serves as the ModelBased Systems Engineering (MBSE) lead for Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) digital engineering efforts, guiding the development of model architectures, workflows, and analytic approaches across multiple MBSE toolsets, including ArcherEye, Veracity, and comparable systems. In this role, the analyst oversees and directs the creation and refinement of systemofsystems models to ensure fidelity, traceability, and alignment with NC3 mission requirements and operational objectives. The analyst leads MBSEdriven modeling and simulation activities by defining use cases, selecting appropriate methodologies, validating analytical results, and ensuring rigor throughout the analytical process. The position also involves leading datacollection activities, requirements reviews, and crossfunctional technical exchanges to support comprehensive NC3 systemofsystems assessments. The analyst evaluates and validates analytical outputs, identifying risks, performance trends, dependencies, and missionlevel impacts to ensure findings are actionable for decision makers. Additionally, the analyst produces highquality technical deliverables, including engineering documentation, missionassurance analyses, and seniorlevel presentations. The analyst represents MBSE and missionengineering efforts in stakeholder meetings, providing authoritative analytical insight and recommendations, while mentoring junior analysts and strengthening SSAG's MBSE capabilities through continuous improvement of modeling standards, best practices, and tool usage.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility, along with eligibility for Nuclear Command and Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2ESI), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Special Access Required (SAR) programs on day one, and must maintain all required clearances and program eligibilities throughout employment.
  • Must be able to work full-time onsite (5 days/week) at Offutt Air Force Base (AFB).
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, physical science, operations research, data science, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • 2-5 years of MBSE experience with tools such as ArcherEye, Veracity, Cameo, MagicDraw, or comparable systems; experience leading or coordinating MBSE activities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining system-of-systems architectures and applying MBSE methods to mission or operational analysis.
  • 2-5 years experience using modeling and simulation software to represent physical systems and perform analytical and statistical assessments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting analysis for the Department of War (DoW).
  • Experience supporting NC3 or Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) mission-level modeling and operational assessments.
  • Experience with MBSE languages and frameworks (SysML, UML, UAF, UPDM).
  • Experience using Python, R, or other programming languages, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau).
  • Experience contributing to the development of digital engineering processes, modeling standards, or tool integration frameworks.
