What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a Roadway Lighting / Illumination Engineer to join our Building and Places Team! This role follows a hybrid work model at either of our New York, NY, Mechanicsburg, PA, Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA, or East Brunswick, NJ Offices. AtGFT, the electrical team is dedicated to creating efficient, innovative solutions forelectrical systems,. In developing energy-efficient power systems our team contributes to a resilient and sustainable built environment, pushing the boundaries of building system design and optimizing performance while addressing the unique needs of each facility.Explore some of our signature projects. What you'll be challenged to do: You will be part of the electrical design group responsible for the analysis and design of electrical lighting systems related to, but not limited to, facilities, utilities, and infrastructure. Project types include private/public facilities, local county and city agencies, local DOT (Department of Transportation) jurisdictions within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and surrounding states. As a Highway Lighting / Building Illumination Engineer, you will assist in the development of calculations, reports, code analysis and design documents in highway, tunnel, building interior/exterior lighting and electrical design. Calculations will include feeder/branch circuit design, voltage drop, lighting/photometrics, grounding and other calculations related to the design and analysis of electrical lighting systems. Design documents include specifications, calculations, site drawings, sectional views, electrical details and energy code compliant analysis. Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
