Position Details



  • Schedule: Full-time (Varied FTE options 0.56-1.0), Monday-Friday, 7am-4:30pm. No call, weekends or holidays.
  • Location: On-site at MNGI Ambulatory Surgery Centers throughout the Twin Cities metro area
  • Salary Range: Starting range $132-142/hour. CRNAs are paid a guaranteed 9-hour day. (Where an applicant may fall on the salary range will vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to CRNA experience)

Key Responsibilities



  • Provide safe, high-quality patient care for individuals receiving monitored anesthesia care in the Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs).
  • Assess, prepare, and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures requiring monitored anesthesia care.
  • Administer anesthesia services in accordance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and established protocols.
  • Monitor patient responses during procedures and intervene appropriately to support patient safety and positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Anesthesiologists, Proceduralists, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members to deliver coordinated patient care.
  • Independently manage anesthesia care within the scope of CRNA practice and organizational guidelines.
  • Support patient recovery and evaluate readiness for discharge following procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation related to anesthesia care and patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical practice initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform additional clinical and non-clinical duties and departmental responsibilities as needed.



Clinical Responsibilities

Patient care is delivered in accordance with standards established by the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) and the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).

Responsibilities include:



  • Pre-anesthesia assessment and patient risk stratification using evidence-based practices
  • Ordering and reviewing laboratory and diagnostic studies, as appropriate
  • Pre-anesthetic medication management
  • Administration of anesthesia and adjunct medications
  • Local infiltration and topical anesthesia techniques
  • Sedation techniques
  • Airway assessment and management
  • Invasive and non-invasive patient monitoring
  • Mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy
  • Fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base management
  • Peripheral intravenous and arterial catheter placement
  • Acute and chronic pain management
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation management
  • Post-anesthesia recovery and discharge management

Education and/or Experience:

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.

Certifications/Licenses



  • Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
  • Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Meets MNGI Digestive Health's credentialing, privileging, and professional liability insurance requirements.
  • Demonstrates competency in nurse anesthesia clinical practice.



Preferred Qualifications



  • New graduates and experienced CRNAs are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience providing anesthesia care in ambulatory surgery, endoscopy, gastroenterology, or other procedural settings is preferred but not required.


  • Successful candidates must satisfy MNGI's reference verification requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, reach over head and bend to the floor and frequently required to stand for long periods of time. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. The employee will be required to apply pressure to abdomen while assisting with procedures. The employee is regularly required to use dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and perform venipuncture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to maintain attention and safely perform clinical duties throughout scheduled procedures.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee works in a clinical environment and may be exposed to hazardous chemicals or conditions including exposure to blood or other body fluids. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training will be provided. The employee is exposed to a computer monitor daily. The employee may be required to travel by automobile and exposed to changing weather conditions while performing the duties of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be alert to conditions that may impact the safety of patients, employees, and visitors.
