Pay:$25.75
Schedule:5 AM to 3 PM; Monday - Friday
Shift:Morning



Position Overview
The Bag Machine Operator I is a Liquibox production role enabling the completion of tasks such as basic machineoperation, inspection, and packing, as well as material handling. Development in this role will lead to ownership ofmachine operation (Operator II) to further career advancement and productivity. The essential function of theOperator I will be to maintain the bag line safety, quality, and productivity standards

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Operate machine, detailed troubleshooting, tooling and set up, making adjustments and appropriate escalation as required to maintain quality and production requirements.


2. Work from work orders, samples, specification book, written and verbal instructions. Use small hand tools, such as a rubber hammer, wrenches, screwdriver, and pliers, measuring and weighing scale.


3. Obtain work instructions and properly select and load in-process work in prescribed manner. Make adjustments in accordance with established procedures for machine operation. Check, set controls, and reset as required for proper speed, feed, tension, or other related machine operation. Remove completed work, properly package, identify, weigh, and properly store.


4. Responsible for consistently monitoring the quality of product and maintaining quality standards of every set.
5. Pull product samples during production to ensure quality of production per sampling standards.

6. Maintain production log, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Operator Live Log, etc. to track details of daily production.


7. Record time or production information required on proper form. Detect and report defective material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to proper supervision.


8. Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations. Follow AIB guidelines, wearing all required PPE, submitting the required amount of BBSOs and required documentation.

9. Maintain workplace housekeeping such as work, storage area, machine, and related equipment to provide a safe, clean work environment.


10. Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.

Manufacturing Plant. Climate-controlled.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard measuring tapes.
  • Ability to work safelyand effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Spanish speakers currently working at Sealed Air are welcome to apply.
