Commercial Insurance Specialist

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at following through to ensure important tasks are completed accurately? Bank Five Nine is seeking a Commercial Insurance Specialist to join our Commercial Loan Operations team at our Corporate Office in Oconomowoc.

In this role, you'll help protect the bank's collateral by monitoring and maintaining insurance requirements for commercial loan customers. You'll work closely with insurance companies, borrowers, and internal teams to ensure coverage remains current and documentation is accurate and complete.

• Monitor commercial loan files to ensure required insurance coverage is maintained.
• Follow up with insurance companies and borrowers regarding expired, missing, or canceled policies.
• Verify the bank is properly listed on applicable insurance coverage.
• Update insurance information and clear exceptions within internal systems.
• Scan, organize, and maintain insurance documents and related correspondence.
• Coordinate force-placed insurance when necessary.
• Track and monitor life insurance associated with commercial loans.
• Assist with file preparation for audits, examinations, and legal requests.
• Research and resolve insurance-related questions and issues.
• Maintain procedures and support process improvements.
• Provide training and guidance to coworkers on commercial loan insurance matters.
• Serve as backup support for the Commercial Loan Servicing phone pool and servicing email inbox.
• Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in banking, insurance, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A customer-focused, team-oriented approach.
