Division: Credit Risk Management Department: Managed Assets Dept. Reports to: SVP, Director Managed Assets Status: Exempt Grade: 11 Salary Range: $66,699 - $122,795 Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Location: Providence, RI Purpose/Objective: Performs operational and functional support for accounts housed in MAD. Coordinates pre-closing due diligence, loan boarding, post-closing activities, and ongoing loan administration while ensuring loans are processed accurately and timely. Act as an administrative liaison responsible for coordinating the flow of information from the department and disseminating it to other departments/line of business, internal/external vendors, and senior management. Provide support by developing reports, tools and resources for the department and taking an active role in special projects as they arise. Key Accountabilities: * Maintain, develop, and implement various reports and administrative processes that will improve the efficiency and productivity of the department. This includes, but is not limited to, portfolio information, legal expense, revenue generation and * Monitor and track several Workout processes, including but not limited to workout approvals, Watch, transfers, risk rating changes and NACO forms. * Coordinates pre-closing due diligence, including required documentation, flood determinations and compliance requirements. * Prepares commercial loans and modifications for boarding and coordinates post-closing activities. * Serves as the primary operational contact for borrowers, Relationship Managers, Loan Servicing, Compliance, branches and other internal business partners while providing exceptional customer service. * Provides administrative support, including preparation of correspondence, reports and presentations as needed. * Coordinates with Compliance and other internal departments to ensure regulatory requirements and operational procedures are completed accurately. * Provides operational support to the MAD team and assists with special projects and departmental initiatives as needed. * May assist lenders and management with the coordination of meetings, events, office-related administrative activities, facilitate third-party note sales of Workout portfolio loans. * Ensure compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties. Education: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * Ongoing industry related and management education * Formal credit training Experience: * Previous experience in the closing and loan boarding process * Previous portfolio monitoring experience * Background in commercial lending and managing Criticized & Classified assets Skills & Knowledge: * Strong leadership and communication skills * Strong knowledge of loan structure and processes and relevant aspects of workout mgt. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Ability to coordinate multiple transactions and competing priorities. * Strong analytical, research, multitasking and problem-solving skills. * Working knowledge of bank products, commercial lending systems and operational processes. * Experience with Microsoft Office suite software programs. * Knowledge of bank credit policy and commercial lending procedures.
