PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to oversee daily plant operations, manage production staff and ensure work runs safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role would be to primarily oversee Assembly, Test, and Repairs, but would at times be required to oversee CNC machines, manual machines, and the weld shop. The production supervisor will be required to use Six Sigma methodology to improve quality and track progress across the shop floor. Strong leadership and communication skills will be required to bridge the gap between management and the shop floor while building employee engagement. Production supervisors will be expected enforce all company policies and handle disciplinary actions as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES




  • - Oversee Assembly, Test, and Repairs

    - Conduct regular performance feedback to employees

    - Maximize production personnel capabilities and implement procedures to improve efficiency

    - Drive change daily by creating channels for feedback and effectively using company-wide systems of communication to ensure employees are engaged and have a voice in the workplace

    - Perform the daily payroll and attendance updates in the system addressing any violations

    - Maintain the vacation schedule ensuring key resources are available when needed

    - Lead solutions to improve staff capabilities and performance management

    - Responsible for managing and maintaining all health and safety standards within the manufacturing team

    - Additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by management




CANDIDATE PROFILE

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Knowledge of assembly and inspection techniques

-Engineering background or mechanical experience preferred

- High energy level, assertive personality and comfortable performing multiple projects in conjunction with normal activities

- Demonstrated ability to lead others to achieve results.

- Highly organized with good communication skills, problem solving skills, and able to efficiently organize and complete daily activities

- Six Sigma, 5S, and lean manufacturing experience preferred.

- Computer proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Excel

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering technologies or a related field highly preferred or experience will be considered. Significant work experience can be substituted for educational requirements on a case-by-case basis.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or work center environment.
