The role connects customer and market insight with portfolio strategy and commercial execution. Working across Product Management, Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Finance, and Sourcing, this leader will translate future customer needs and technology trends into focused growth initiatives, strategic pursuits, and sustainable business results.

What You Will Do

Lead business growth and market development
  • Lead Business Development Managers to own and execute the global business development strategy for the Networking segment in alignment with segment and business-unit priorities.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize high-value growth opportunities across automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, technology partners, and adjacent mobility markets.
  • Build and manage a healthy opportunity pipeline, with clear priorities, milestones, ownership, and conversion plans.
  • Develop coordinated pursuit strategies for strategic customers, platforms, and must-win opportunities.
  • Drive customer and regional diversification by expanding Molex relationships in targeted accounts and markets.
  • Create market-entry and account-development plans that connect customer needs with Molex capabilities and portfolio direction.
Strengthen customer and industry engagement
  • Build durable relationships with senior customer, partner, and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop executive engagement plans that deepen customer intimacy and uncover future architecture, platform, and application opportunities.
  • Synthesize voice-of-customer input, technology roadmaps, market trends, and competitive activity into actionable growth priorities.
  • Represent Molex in strategic customer meetings, industry forums, ecosystem discussions, and other external engagements.
Advance partnerships and ecosystem development
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships that accelerate technology adoption, add capability, expand market access, or strengthen Molex competitive positioning.
  • Build relationships across the automotive networking ecosystem, including semiconductor, software, system, and integration partners.
  • Contribute commercial and market insight to partnership, licensing, investment, and acquisition evaluations.
  • Use ecosystem engagement to validate product strategy, technology priorities, and long-term investment decisions.
Drive cross-functional execution
  • Partner with Product Management to connect market opportunities with portfolio strategy, product roadmaps, and investment priorities.
  • Collaborate with Sales to develop account growth strategies, strengthen opportunity qualification, and improve conversion on strategic pursuits.
  • Align Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Finance, Sourcing, and Commercial teams around compelling customer value propositions and executable business cases.
  • Engage early in new-product and commercialization processes to improve market fit, customer validation, launch readiness, and adoption.
  • Provide clear recommendations to segment leadership on growth opportunities, risks, priorities, and resource needs.
Build a high-performing team
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of Business Development Managers, setting clear priorities, decision rights, and performance expectations.
  • Build capability through structured development, succession planning, knowledge sharing, and targeted talent acquisition.
  • Establish consistent business development processes, operating rhythms, metrics, and best practices across regions.
  • Create a culture of ownership, constructive challenge, collaboration, customer focus, and value creation consistent with Molex principles.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Growth and quality of the qualified opportunity pipeline
  • New business wins and conversion of strategic pursuits
  • Customer, application, and regional diversification
  • Expansion of Molex content and position within targeted vehicle architectures and customer platforms
  • Effectiveness of strategic partnerships and ecosystem engagement
  • Accuracy and usefulness of market insight in guiding portfolio and investment decisions
  • Team capability, engagement, development, and succession readiness
