Position Title: Parts Cleaner / Metal Finishing
Wage: $18.00/hour QPS Employment Group is hiring a Parts Cleaner / Metal Finishing role in Itasca, IL. Parts Cleaner / Metal Finishing Responsibilities: - Clean, prepare, and restore parts and components according to company quality standards - Operate various hand and power tools, including pneumatic sanders, electric grinders, polishing and buffing equipment and other finishing and cleaning tools as required - Remove rust, debris, paint, grease, and other contaminants from parts and surfaces - Inspect parts for defects and ensure components meet specifications before moving to the next stage of production - Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures and company policies - Assist with moving, loading, and positioning parts and materials throughout the facility Requirements for Parts Cleaner / Metal Finishing: - Ability to frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds - Ability to work in confined and tight spaces while performing cleaning, grinding, sanding, and polishing tasks - Capability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods - Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to dust, noise, and vibration from power tools - Ability to work long hours, including overtime as needed to meet production demands - Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial cleaning, metal finishing, or a related field preferred - Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions - Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
