This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position. While there is some scheduling flexibility, there are times that require availability between the hours of 8am to 4:30pm CST, Monday - Friday. This will be discussed in the interview process. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This position is remote. We are seeking a Coding and Revenue Integrity Education Specialist to: At UW Health, you will have: Education Associate's Degree in health information technology, health information management, or related healthcare field. Two (2) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree in addition to the experience below required. Bachelor's Degree in health information technology, health information management, or related healthcare field preferred. Work Experience 2 years of progressively responsible coding or CDI experience required. Experience with Coding & CDI quality improvement projects preferred. Experience in training, organizational development activities, or project management principles preferred. Licenses & Certifications At least one (1) of the following certifications is required: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), Registered Health Information Admin (RHIA), Registered Health Info Tech (RHIT), Certified Clin Doc Spec (CCDS), Certified Doc Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) required.
