In the role of Senior Technical Advisor-Transit Planning, we'll count on you to:

  • Lead interdisciplinary teams on a variety of transit planning projects
  • Provide subject matter expertise to project teams in FTA/FRA Project Development/NEPA
  • Troubleshoot project delivery issues and support resolution planning
  • Conduct Project and Quality Control reviews
  • Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with national and regional transit planning practice group leaders to maintain a competitive practice and manage workshare arrangements
  • Support business development initiatives in defining growth strategies for the NY/NJ market
  • Maintain strong client relationships, with an understanding of client needs, funding mechanisms, and regulatory environments
  • Support selected planning pursuits in the Northeast through technical and fee proposal preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 15 years working in the transit industry
  • Preference given to candidates currently residing in the NY/NJ Area
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported
  • Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported
  • Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
