What starts here really does change the world. The Chief Information Officer is the senior information technology executive for the McCombs School of Business. Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean for Business Affairs and Chief Operating Officer, the CIO leads McCombs Technology Solutions (MTS), sets the school's technology strategy, priorities, and investments, and advises the Dean and senior leaders on technology opportunities, risk, modernization, data, and artificial intelligence. The CIO provides executive leadership for technology operations, application development and data services, classroom and audiovisual technology, technology governance and project portfolio management, information security coordination, and technology contracting. The CIO represents McCombs within UT Austin's federated technology environment and works closely with Enterprise Technology, the Information Security Office, the Office of Academic Technology, and the McCombs Office of Instructional Innovation.
