Do you have a passion for our community and the skill set to support growth at an up-and-coming health organization? Progressive Community Health Centers is hiring for an IT Specialist at our Lisbon Avenue Health Center. This position does NOT require nights, holidays, or weekends!
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Founded in 1999, Progressive Community Health Centers is an independent non-profit organization that operates four clinic locations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. More than 100 employees support our agency's mission to improve the health and quality of life of the community by providing culturally competent services that address identified needs. We provide high quality, comprehensive care to roughly 16,000 patients annually, a majority of who are low-income. No one is ever turned away from our clinics based on insurance status or ability to pay. We value a patient-centered philosophy and provide range of services that include family medicine, internal medicine, women's health, urgent care, dental, radiology and integrated behavioral health. We also offer supportive services such as case management, health education and benefits enrollment.
What will you do?

Responsible for providing technical assistance, support and set-up related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to requests on a variety of technology issues, isolates problems, and determine and implement solutions. Supports staff in working with the different Systems, maintaining documentation, and end user support for Windows Desktops, Microsoft Software, IP Phones, and peripheral IT equipment. Will also perform basic support tasks in the IP Phone system and Epic such as helping users log in and setting up softphone.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES



  1. Supports the organization with IT-related requests the end users will submit.
  2. Set up new computers and laptops for staff and maintain Windows Operating Systems.
  3. Install and train users with software on end-user computers and laptops and perform basic troubleshooting of software problems and maintain Microsoft's suite of software.
  4. Installs and maintains technology equipment in use such as printers, scanners, fax machines, and phones.
  5. Add and remove items in the IT equipment inventory. And edits the inventory and technology and staff move.
  6. Manages the IT storage room for organization and updates inventory.
  7. A valid Wisconsin driver's license is needed for local travel between sites. Regular visits as needed to remote sites are expected for IT support.
  8. This roll is in person, onsite.
  9. Inform team members and managers of major problems or of customers' recurring concerns
  10. Perform other job related duties as may be assigned.



KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS



  1. Demonstrate initiative, ability to work with others, and good professional judgment.
  2. Ability to work independently and organize time effectively.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Knowledge of and well-skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  6. Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience working in an IT role, and at least one year of education in an IT related field or at least one Certificate issued by an IT training facility, such as (but not limited to), CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the information technology field. Must be able to interpret instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and work under immediate supervision.

It is mandatory that all employees, employed providers and volunteers are vaccinated. All hired candidates must submit proof of vaccination prior to their orientation.
